This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use Reconry, including reconry.com, app.reconry.com, Reconry APIs, agent connections, integrations, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Reconry is designed primarily for businesses, professional teams, developers, creators, and other people managing projects and agentic workflows.

1Information We Collect

We collect information in three primary ways: information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and information received from services you choose to connect to Reconry.

Account and Profile Information

We may collect:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • authentication information;
  • profile information;
  • workspace and organization information;
  • account role and permissions;
  • billing and subscription information;

Authentication may be provided through Reconry or supported third-party identity providers.

Customer Content

Reconry processes information you or authorized users submit to the Services, including:

  • project documents;
  • Markdown and other uploaded files;

  • findings;
  • change requests;
  • approval or rejection actions;
  • evidence and provenance;
  • plans, drafts, or diffs submitted for analysis;
  • information retrieved from integrations you authorize.

We refer to this collectively as “Customer Content.”

Customer Content may contain personal information about you or other people. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and lawful basis necessary to provide that information to Reconry.

Agent and Integration Information

If you connect Reconry to an external service, agent, repository, application, or protocol-enabled client, we may process information such as:

  • connection and authorization details;
  • connected repository, project, or resource identifiers;
  • permission scopes;
  • application or client identity;
  • agent or session identity;
  • model identity when available;

Reconry limits connected agents and integrations according to the permissions and project scope granted through the Services.

  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;

  • performance information.

We may also collect product analytics to understand how the Services are used and improve functionality.

Payment Information

If paid plans are offered, payment information may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Reconry may receive transaction information such as payment status, subscription type, billing period, and limited billing details. We do not need to store full payment-card numbers when payments are handled by our payment provider.

2How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and secure Reconry;
  • authenticate users and manage accounts;
  • create and administer workspaces and projects;
  • store and display Customer Content;
  • preserve revision history, provenance, and audit information;
  • identify and analyze contradictions, drift, gaps, and other findings;
  • resolve applicable project authority and context;
  • generate proposed findings, edits, decisions, or other recommendations;
  • provide agent and integration functionality;
  • process user-approved Retcons and other actions;
  • maintain project permissions and access controls;
  • process payments and subscriptions;
  • provide customer support;
  • diagnose errors and improve performance;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • enforce our Terms of Service;
  • develop and improve the Services.

Where required by applicable law, we process personal information based on one or more legal bases, including performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with law, and consent.

3AI and Automated Processing

Reconry uses automated systems and artificial intelligence to analyze Customer Content and provide features such as contextual retrieval, proposed findings, consistency analysis, decision analysis, suggested changes, and agent-facing responses.

Automated analysis does not independently establish project authority.

Reconry is designed around the principle that agents and automated systems may propose, but human users establish or change authoritative project canon through the applicable approval process.

AI systems can make mistakes. Users should evaluate proposed findings, recommendations, edits, and other generated content before relying on them.

Customer Content may be transmitted to third-party AI infrastructure providers when necessary to perform requested Services. We use contractual and technical controls appropriate to the service relationship and our obligations.

Our use of Customer Content for model training, if any, will be governed by the applicable product terms, customer agreement, or an affirmative setting or consent where required. We will not represent Customer Content as being excluded from training unless that exclusion is actually supported by our provider arrangements and product configuration.

4Connected Services

Reconry may allow you to connect third-party systems such as source-code repositories, agentic development tools, identity providers, and other services.

When you authorize a connection, Reconry may access information from that provider consistent with the permissions you grant.

Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Reconry is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties outside our control.

You may revoke supported connections through Reconry or the applicable third-party provider. Revocation may prevent future access but may not remove information previously imported into Reconry where that information forms part of an authorized project record or must be retained for legal, security, provenance, or audit purposes.

5How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients.

Service Providers

We may use providers that support:

  • cloud hosting;
  • databases;
  • authentication;
  • infrastructure;
  • AI model processing;
  • job processing;
  • email and notifications;
  • payment processing;
  • analytics;
  • monitoring;
  • customer support;
  • security.

These providers may process information on our behalf to provide their services to Reconry.

User-Authorized Integrations

We disclose information when you direct Reconry to interact with a connected application, agent, repository, or other external system.

Your Workspace

Information may be visible to other members of the workspace or project based on their roles and permissions.

Legal and Safety Purposes

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law or legal process;
  • respond to lawful requests from government authorities;
  • protect Reconry, our users, or others;
  • investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
  • enforce our agreements.

Corporate Transactions

If Reconry is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.

6Sale and Targeted Advertising

As of the Effective Date, Reconry does not sell personal information for monetary consideration and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required rights or controls before applying the change.

Where legally applicable, we will honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, for activities to which those signals legally apply.

7Data Retention and Project History

Reconry retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security and audit records.

Reconry is specifically designed to preserve project provenance and history. Certain project records, including revisions, approval history, change reasons, findings, provenance, and related audit information, may be maintained as append-only or immutable records while a project exists.

This means an individual historical revision may not be editable or independently removable in the same way as ordinary profile information.

If an account, workspace, or project is deleted, we will handle associated information according to our retention practices, contractual obligations, backups, security requirements, and applicable law. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups or be retained where legally permitted or required.

We will not retain personal information longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.

8Security

Reconry uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.

Depending on the relevant system, these safeguards may include:

  • authentication and authorization controls;
  • project-scoped access;
  • role-based permissions;
  • database row-level security;
  • encrypted network connections;
  • logging and audit records;
  • project-scoped integration grants;
  • immutable revision history;
  • integrity verification mechanisms;
  • credential isolation;
  • security monitoring.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Reconry cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us promptly at security@reconry.com.

9Cookies and Similar Technologies

Reconry may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary to:

  • maintain authentication sessions;
  • preserve security;
  • remember preferences;
  • operate the Services;
  • understand product performance and usage.

If Reconry uses non-essential analytics or advertising technologies that require consent under applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice and controls.

10International Data Transfers

Reconry and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use legally recognized transfer mechanisms or other appropriate safeguards.

11Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to:

  • access personal information;
  • obtain information about how it is processed;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion;
  • receive a portable copy of certain information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted advertising activities;
  • appeal certain privacy-request decisions;
  • lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

These rights are subject to applicable law and exceptions.

Some information stored inside a business customer’s workspace may be controlled by that customer rather than Reconry. If you submit a privacy request regarding information controlled by a Reconry customer, we may direct your request to that customer or assist the customer in responding.

To submit a request, contact privacy@reconry.com.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to appropriate verification.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

12California Privacy Rights

If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to Reconry’s processing of your personal information, California residents may have rights including:

  • the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected;
  • the right to know the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients;
  • the right to request deletion;
  • the right to request correction;
  • the right to opt out of sale or sharing where applicable;
  • the right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable;
  • the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

Reconry does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as of the Effective Date.

Requests may be submitted through privacy@reconry.com or another method we designate.

13European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

Where applicable, Reconry may act as a controller for information used to administer accounts, operate our business, secure the Services, and communicate with users.

For Customer Content processed on behalf of a business customer, Reconry may act as a processor or service provider, with the customer acting as controller or business.

Where required, enterprise or business customers may enter into a Data Processing Addendum with Reconry addressing processor obligations, subprocessors, international transfers, security, and data-subject requests.

Our legal bases may include:

  • performance of our agreement with you;
  • our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services;
  • compliance with legal obligations;
  • consent where required.

You may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

14Children’s Privacy

Reconry is intended for professional and business use and is not directed to children under 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of providing them individual Reconry accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Reconry in violation of this policy, contact privacy@reconry.com.

15Business Customer Data

If you use Reconry on behalf of an employer, customer, organization, or other entity, that organization may control the workspace and Customer Content associated with your account.

Workspace owners and authorized administrators may be able to:

  • add or remove users;
  • control permissions;
  • access workspace content;
  • manage integrations;
  • review activity and audit information;
  • control retention or deletion of workspace data.

You should direct questions about your organization’s internal privacy practices to that organization.

16Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services, our business, or applicable law changes.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Services, by email, or by another reasonable method where required.

The Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy identifies when the current version became effective.
